Chanhassen Group Personal Training
Dear Chanhassen Neighbors & Friends:
YES! That is a very bold statement, and I’m more than prepared to back it up.
Until now, personal training programs in Chanhassen have been built on a one-on-one personal training model. In other words, one personal trainer works with one client…typically for a one-hour personal training session.
I’m here to tell you that model, for the most part, is OBSOLETE!
One-on-One Personal training boring…
One-on-One Personal training lacks energy…
AND, one-on-one personal training is missing one of the most important factors for weight loss success… SOCIAL SUPPORT.
Now, on the flip side, One-on-One Personal Training DOES PROVIDE very individualized programming and a very detailed level of coaching. Hold that thought…
Right now, boot camps are all the rage in the fitness industry, and rightfully so. Hell, I know I run the very best boot camp in Chanhassen.
Boot Camps, when done right, are extremely efficient and incredibly effective for weight loss and fitness. Plus, they’re just WAY MORE FUN than training alone.
The only downside I see with boot camps is the loss of individually focused attention and highly customized training that One-on-One Personal Training provides. Up until now, it’s pretty much been one or the other, but that’s all about to change thanks to…
Group personal training is fun…YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST!
Group personal training is full of energy…YOU WILL FEEL ALIVE!
Group personal training provides social support…YOU WILL MAKE GREAT FRIENDS!
Most importantly…GROUP PERSONAL TRAINING WORKS!

Now, if you’re asking yourself, “Who is this guy, and why is he the authority on personal training programs in Chanhassen?” please allow me a few minutes to introduce myself…
HELLO!
My name is Justin Yule and I’ve been working in the personal training industry since 1997. Now, before I try to WOW you with all my credentials and accolades, let me tell you a little secret…
Yup! Personal training is a calling for me. My journey began as an overweight teenager looking for answers to losing weight and being more confident. By the time I was ready to go to college I was well on my way to laying the foundation for my personal training career…
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and a Concentration in Adult Fitness from the State University of New York, College at Cortland in 1997. I immediately got my personal training certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and began my personal training career. Fast-forward a few years to 2002 when I was the top-ranked personal trainer in Life Time Fitness while working in one of their smaller facilities in Fairfax, VA. That takes A LOT of personal training clients!
Jump ahead a few more years to 2005 and that’s where my Chanhassen Personal Training career began. Life Time Fitness promoted me to run the Chanhassen Personal Training Department, as well as play a very important role in the development of the personal training program and the personal training management program in my role as Life Time University Training Specialist. I had a fantastic personal training career at Life Time Fitness. I enjoyed it quite a bit!
However, after a number of years in the personal training industry I started to recognize the need for a shift. I was looking for a better way; a way to help more people be successful with their personal training programs…
You see, by this point I had spent over a decade helping thousands of people reach their weight loss and fitness goals through my personal training programs. However, I felt limited to the amount of people I could help, and to tell you the truth… I was getting really bored with traditional one-on-one personal training.
I began to take a real hard look at what was going on in the personal training industry and what I found was awesome! Personal training programs built on a GROUP personal training model.
Imagine…
That’s what group personal training and boot camps are all about!
Now, with all that being said about group personal training and boot camp programs, not all group personal training and boot camp programs in Chanhassen are the same. In fact, some of them have zero scientific validity in their programming while others are downright dangerous! Most of the boot camps have turned into nothing more than glorified group fitness classes (a.k.a. aerobics classes), and the so-called group personal training programs are…let’s just say…LAME! But, I’m not going to point fingers so let’s just move on…
Group personal training is NOT group exercise.
We’re not talking about packing a bunch of people into a group fitness studio with an unqualified instructor leading the group who’s ultimately more concerned with getting her workout in.
We’re also not talking about gathering a group of people in a park and having them run around trees, do a bunch of calisthenics that are inappropriate for their fitness level, or grind out so-called functional movements and athletic drills that have no correlation to long-term weight loss or improved health.
Finally, putting people through a circuit of machines while the trainer watches a stopwatch (and the TVs) is definitely NOT group personal training!
NO! NO!! NO!!!
Quite frankly my friend, that’s what sets my Chanhassen Personal Training programs apart from all the others. I’ve combined my experience and my continuing hunger for personal training education through diligent research and practice to develop the VERY BEST group personal training programs in Chanhassen.
I started with what is now the #1 Chanhassen Boot Camp program – Look Great at the Lake Boot Camp.
And, now I’m excited to take group personal training in Chanhassen to the NEXT LEVEL!
At this point I haven’t come up with a really cool name for it (I’ll take suggestions) so for now we’ll just call it Group Personal Training.
Our REVOLUTIONARY Group Personal Training Program at Chanhassen Fitness Revolution is the perfect blend of Boot Camp and One-on-One Personal Training. It features individualized programming in a small group (max of 10) with all the energy and excitement of a boot camp. A typical one-hour group personal training session will look like this:

Best of all, our Chanhassen Group Personal Training program is at a price that won’t break the bank – BIG problem with One-on-One Personal Training programs in Chanhassen.
Let’s run some quick numbers, shall we?
A good, not great, personal trainer in Chanhassen is going to run you $70/session. Mind you, that’s generally an entry level trainer at a quality facility. I can tell you, I was personally charging $100 when I worked in the health club, and now I can command even more.
But, let’s go with the $70 trainer for this example…
Most people know that they should train 2-3 times per week with a personal trainer if they want to see results. Well, it doesn’t take a math whiz to realize that’s going to cost $560 – $840 per month! And, remember, that’s with an average trainer!! At my old rates we’re talking $800 – $1200 per month!!!
While I know I am worth every damn penny, I recognize the need for a more affordable program because personal Training DOES HAVE VALUE – a lot, really. And, there are a lot of people, perhaps you, who would like to get those benefits, but on a more cost friendly budget, right?
CHECK THIS OUT…
Our Group Personal Training programs at Chanhassen Fitness Revolution start as low as $327/month!
Now that’s a hell of a bargain!!
In addition to the incredible value and awesome training that our Group Personal Training program provides, members will also receive:
Yeah, this program has it all..

Now, if you’re still unsure if Chanhassen Fitness Revolution Group Personal Training is the right Chanhassen Personal Training program for you please allow me to provide you with some tips to use when evaluating personal training in Chanhassen.
The Functional Movement Screen is considered to be the top fitness assessment choice of the very best fitness experts.
The FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents movement patterns that are key to normal function. By screening these patterns, the FMS readily identifies functional limitations and asymmetries. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness.
The FMS generates the Functional Movement Screen Score, which is used to target problems and track progress. This scoring system is directly linked to the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore mechanically sound movement patterns.
Exercise professionals monitor the FMS score to track progress and to identify those exercises that will be most effective to restore proper movement and build strength in each individual.
In addition, a comprehensive assessment should include body composition, circumference, strength, endurance and flexibility measurements.
There are many online pay-for-certifications where people can get a personal training certificate with little or no knowledge of proper personal training methods. This is how YOU get hurt!
If possible, seek out someone with both a personal training certification and a college degree in the personal training sciences.
While everyone does have to start somewhere, if I were paying good money for a personal training program I’d want to know it was being led by someone with years, even decades of experience, versus the new kid on the block. In a field like personal training, experience is golden!
Scientifically designed personal training programs will deliver weight loss and fitness results. However, it’s the “art” of the delivery that truly makes a personal training program personal.
Everyone responds a little bit differently. Everyone’s body is unique. A skilled fitness professional knows how to truly put the “personal” into personal training. By the way, it takes a truly skilled fitness professional to do this in a group personal training environment.
The National Weight Control Registry found that 89% of people who lost 30 or more pounds and kept it off for at least one year accomplished their goals through a combination of diet and exercise. In that study only 10% succeeded using diet alone, and only 1% using exercise alone.
Nutrition is half the weight loss battle. Without it, you are joining an incomplete program and wasting your money since there is no amount of exercise that can compensate for poor dietary habits. People are too busy, and frankly too lazy, so the nutrition program needs to be clearly outlined and easy to follow. It should provide both Quick-Start Nutrition Guides for Males and Females respectively that will have you eating to support your fat loss goals in 5 minutes or less. Plus, a cookbook with a bunch of tasty and healthy done-for-you recipes should be provided to keep you on track!
There should be no added weight* to any movements until you have mastered the key foundational body weight exercises in full ranges of motion like push-ups, squats, lunges, etc. A red flag should be raised if you are being instructed to add weight to a movement that you have yet to master with your body weight alone. This one’s important because it’s not a matter of if you will get hurt… it’s a matter of when!
In addition, machines tend to make the body move in unnatural paths of motions ultimately causing stress injuries in the joints. Plus, they prevent you from developing stabilization strength and endurance, actually weaken your core, and provide no “real world” application for everyday life.
*Note: there are certain exercises that incorporate resistance bands that are easier than body weight exercises. In addition, any pulling exercise will need to incorporate external resistance. Resistance bands are typically the best means of external resistance, especially for beginners.
If the personal trainers are confident about what they have to offer, they will let you come in and try their personal training program for free AND they will guarantee your satisfaction or your money back to completely eliminate the risk on your end.
A results-based personal training program looks to minimize barriers of entry for personal training prospects because the personal trainers know that once the prospect experiences the benefits of the personal training program firsthand they will surely buy!
