Chanhassen Boot Camp Raises $600 for Lung Cancer Research

A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation and Chanhassen Fitness Revolution Teamed Up to Create Awareness About Lung Cancer and Raise Money for Research

 

Chanhassen Fitness Revolution hosted its 3rd Annual Freaky Fat Loss Halloween Charity Boot Camp.  This year, Justin Yule, Fitness Revolution’s owner, teamed up with one of his Chanhassen Boot Camp members, Shanna Ballsrud, co-founder of the A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation.  Together, Yule and Ballsrud raised $600 for lung cancer research.

Summer is just around the corner…

 

Other than wanting to look great in your bathing suit, I know you also want to feel and perform great.

 

One of the things that I really enjoy in the summer is going on intense bike rides with my buddy Tom.  Well, he’s what I would call a “no joke” rider.  He puts in some serious mileage.  The nut job rides year round, even in the winter here in MN!

40:20 Total Body Annihilation Circuits

40:20 Total Body Annihilation Circuits

 

That’s a pretty scary name for a circuit workout, but it’s the first thing that came to mind after I crafted this one up.

 

You see, Workout Muse now has a killer set of soundtracks featuring of Montreal and I’m really having a blast coming up with some new high intensity interval training (HIIT) workouts using them.  The music is fantastic and it’s been inspiring some pretty wicked creativity.  Although, I think I may have gone a little over the top with this one.  ;-b

 

The Total Body Annihilation Circuits feature one of my very favorite interval formats, 40:20.

 

In my Chanhassen Boot Camp I’ll typically use 40:20 intervals for supersets where I’ll pair two big non-competing compound exercises (i.e., Squats & Rows) and get after them for 10 minutes, rest for 2 minutes and then hit then a second pair (i.e., Deadlifts and Chest Press).  This makes for an incredible muscle building workout that sends your metabolism through the roof!
